July 7 Devils Tower
On our way from Mt. Rushmore to Yellowstone we had to make a stop at Devils Tower. This is a very unique geological feature caused by immense pressure pushing up a huge tower-like rock.....blah blah blah, we all know the reason Doug wanted to see it was because it was in Close Encounters of the Third Kind.
This is a horrible picture of us...but oh well....we were road weary and sleepy.
This is a much better photo....of the rock. Devil's Tower is also a state park...who knew?
This one cracks me up.
That's weird...it looks just like my mashed potatoes.
